The Independent Label Alliance, which has its international office here in Tileyard, has signed a worldwide admin deal with UK publisher, Bucks Music Group.
Richard Hannan, ILA’s EVP who runs the UK office, said: “Austin, Texas is experiencing a sea-change within its music scene from ‘live’ to ‘business’, and ILA is at the forefront of that change.“We are creating a more professional music-business infrastructure to allow great talent access to global opportunities, which until recently was controlled from within the major US music cities like Nashville, LA and NYC.
“Independence, heritage, and legacy are the core values that make Bucks Music Group the perfect choice for a new music publishing offer for ILA artists and musicians. Jacqueline Scripps’s family heritage dates back to 1879 as independent publishers. It therefore made sense to set-up a relationship with a company that continues to uphold similar principals.”Bucks Music Group MD Simon Platz added: “We’re really happy to be working with ILA. Our companies share a similar philosophy and we look forward to a successful partnership both here in the UK and across the world.”
